Pricing

$149 + parts

That's labor for most repairs. Parts cost extra, and we quote them before ordering anything.

What the $149 covers

One flat labor charge for most jobs:

  • Figuring out what's actually wrong
  • Virus and malware cleanup
  • Windows or macOS reinstall
  • Speeding up a slow machine
  • Driver and software fixes
  • Installing parts — screen, battery, SSD, RAM, etc.
  • Testing it before you pick up

Parts

If something needs replacing, you pay our cost for the part on top of the $149. Ballpark numbers:

  • Laptop screens — depends heavily on the model
  • Batteries — depends on the model
  • SSDs — usually $50–$150
  • RAM — usually $30–$80
  • Desktop power supplies — usually $50–$100
  • Charging ports — varies

We tell you the part price first. If you don't want to go ahead, you don't owe us for the repair — just the conversation.

Compared to most shops

Typical flow elsewhere: pay $79–$129 for a "diagnostic fee," then get billed hourly. Or a big-box store quotes one flat price for one specific issue and everything else is extra.

Here it's $149 labor, plus parts if you need them. That's the whole framework.

Data recovery is extra. Getting files off a physically failed drive takes different tools and different time. Not included in the $149. Putting in a new drive and reinstalling the OS is normal repair pricing.

Rough totals

Your number depends on the machine. These are typical ranges.

Virus cleanup

$149 — no parts. Clean out the infection, get it running right.

SSD upgrade

~$199–$299 — $149 labor plus $50–$150 for the drive. Night-and-day difference on an old laptop.

Screen replacement

~$249–$399 — $149 labor plus the screen. Varies a lot by laptop model.

Battery

~$199–$279 — $149 labor plus the battery. Depends on what's available for your model.

Fresh OS install

$149 — unless you also need a new drive. Clean Windows or macOS install.

More RAM

~$179–$229 — $149 labor plus the memory. Helps if you're always maxed out.
